How to install the set screw:
You will need:
Set screw (enclosed with this letter)
2mm hex wrench/Allen key
Note:
It’s easiest to install the set screw with the front wheel removed. We also recommend that
you clean the threads in the threaded hole with a cotton swab before you install the screw.
1. Loosen the through-axle.
2. Slide out the axle nut to see
the groove on the axle nut.
3. Align the groove on the axle
nut with the threaded hole for
the set screw.
4. Slide the axle nut back into the
fork. Make sure the groove and
the threaded hole stay aligned
as you slide the axle nut back
in.
5. Use your fingers to thread the
set screw in place. You want
the set screw to go through the
threaded hole and into the
groove on the axle nut.
6. Tighten the set screw with your
2mm hex wrench/Allen key.
Note: set screw will stick out 2
–
4mm.
7. Replace wheel and tighten
through-axle.
8. You have finished installing the
set screw.
