Jacking Your Caravan
Your MDC caravan has factory jacking points behind the axles on each side of the caravan and a bottle jack locating
ring on each of the trailing arms on the suspension.
The jacking point behind the wheels is suitable for both bottle jack and
hi-lift jack operation.
When using a hi-lift jack care must be taken to
secure the caravan from rolling or slipping. Never place any part of
your body beneath the caravan when suspended by any kind of jack.
Ensure the body of the caravan is protected from damage by the jack.
The jacking point on the trailing arm is designed for the head of a
bottle jack to fit securely inside the metal ring. When using this point
ensure the jack is on a solid base and the caravan cannot move.

Charging from your Vehicle
To charge your caravan effectively while driving you will need to have 12-volt power supplied from your tow vehicle to
a 50amp Anderson plug near your towbar. Wiring and supply should be compatible for 50 amps.
A 12-pin trailer plug is also required. In addition to the standard wiring to pins 1 to 7, power must be supplied to the
number 12 pin for the trigger wire for the IDC25 DCD to DC charger while the engine is running.
•
The IDC25 is programmed to favour the solar power supply until the supply falls below the minimum threshold
for the controller. By supplying power to the trigger wire through the #12 pin, the unit will switch mode to
favour the supply via the Anderson plug when the tow vehicle engine is running.
•
Vehicles that have a “smart alternator” require the IDC25 to be activated via the trigger wire for the ECU to
detect the charge requirement of the trailer batteries
