6. BATTERY & CHARGING
The wheelchair is equipped with two 12 V, gel, maintenance-free batteries. The batteries are sealed
so there is no need to check the electrolyte lever.
The charger is the key part of the wheelchair. In order to charge the batteries quickly and safely ,use
only the original charger supplied with the wheelchair and follow the below rules.
1. Park the wheelchair as close to the grounded socket as possible.
2. Turn off the wheelchair by pressing on/off button.
3. Plug the charger into the charging socket placed on the control panel.
4. Plug the charger into the grounded socket.
5. Turn on the charger.
6. When charging the new batteries for the first time, the charging should lasts till all the green
control indicators flash, no longer than 24h.
7. When loading is completed, remove the charger from power outlet and then from the charging
socket. Never leave the charger connected to the charger socket if it is not connected with power
outlet.
If you need to replace the batteries, please, contact your
distributor.
WARNING!
Use standard, 3-pin grounded plug and grounded socket.
Never use the extension cord.
While charging the battery, never use the same socket for other purposes.
Use only one charging socket while charging (charging socket on the battery or on the control
panel).
Use only the original charger supplied with the power wheelchair.
Charge each
battery before the first use- charging should last 24hours. If you do not intend to use
the wheelchair for longer time, please, remove the batteries and store them in dry and cool place.
Never plug the charger into the power outlet of more than 12 V. Always use the original charger
supplied with the wheelchair. Not following the above rules may lead to charger overheating and
fire. Do not charge the batteries in humid places, conditions. Never stop or suspend charging if the
batteries are not completely charged. The charging should last till the time the batteries are fully
charged.
