For detailed information on the appliances installed in your camper please refer to the manuals included in your

camper handover.

Caution

Electrical devices can be dangerous. Under no circumstances should repairs and

modifications be attempted by unqualified or untrained persons. MDC accepts no liability for

any personal injury, damages, or loss as a result of unqualified or untrained persons

repairing or altering the electrical systems on this product. If in doubt call your local MDC

outlet or phone: 1300 831407

Charging from your Vehicle

To charge your caravan effectively while driving you will need to have 12-volt power supplied from your tow vehicle to
a 50amp Anderson plug near your towbar. Wiring and supply should be compatible for 50 amps.
A 12-pin trailer plug is also required. In addition to the standard wiring to pins 1 to 7, power must be supplied to the

number 12 pin for the trigger wire for the IDC25 DCD to DC charger while the engine is running.

The IDC25 is programmed to favour the solar power supply until the supply falls below the minimum threshold

for the controller. By supplying power to the trigger wire through the #12 pin, the unit will switch mode to

favour the supply via the Anderson plug when the tow vehicle engine is running.

Vehicles that have a “smart alternator” require the IDC25 to be activated via the trigger wire for the ECU to

detect the charge requirement of the trailer batteries

Battery Care

Your camper is fitted with 100Ah AGM Batteries. Storage type batteries require periodical maintenance to perform at

their peak and extend their service life. The following is an outline on how to gain the best performance and lifecycle
from the battery fitted in your camper:
