EHPAS Related Processes

NOTE: Use the recommended EHPAS fluid, please refer to: EHPAS Fluid Specification.

NOTE: Power steering fluid is highly flammable and toxic.

EHPAS Fluid Bleed and Fill

Figure 124: Power Steering Fluid Check

Switch the ignition on and start the engine

mode

Allow the engine to idle for 20 seconds before checking the EHPAS fluid level

Remove the access cover, and unscrew and remove the EHPAS fluid reservoir cap

Measure the distance inside the reservoir, down to the fluid level

Maximum is 50mm, and minimum is 55mm from the top of the reservoir filler neck

Turn steering wheel lock to lock 5 times, holding against the rack stop for 2 seconds on each
rotation

Check the EHPAS fluid level again and top up if necessary

Use the recommended EHPAS fluid, please refer to: EHPAS Fluid Specification

Refit the EHPAS fluid reservoir and access cover
