How to Operate the MCC82
How to Operate Stereo Mode
In the Stereo Operating Mode, both channels operate as in-
dependent full frequency range 40 watt amplifiers applica-
tion is to drive a full range pair of loudspeakers in the front
section of a vehicle and a second pair in the rear.
Input Level Controls
The Level controls allow you to set the input sensitivity of
both amplifier channels to provide an ideal match for the
control center being used. The most desirable setting al-
lows the control center to have a useful volume range as
wide as possible from loud to soft. A good measure is to set
the MCC82 level controls so the control center volume is
approximately
at its mid posi-
tion for normal
listening lev-
els. The Level
controls can be
set for any sen-
sitivity from 3
volts to 0.3
volts. Refer to figure 2.
Power
The MCC82 will turn on or off when the Control Center
turns on or off.
Note: There must be an Amp ON connection between the
MCC82 and the McIntosh Control Center in order for
the amplifier power turn on and off to function.
The MCC82 can be operated in Bridged Mono Mode for
100 watts into 4 ohms or 80 watts into 8 ohms. The
Bridged mode outputs are floating above chassis ground.
Refer to Figure 3 and 4.
1. Set the MCC82 Mode switch to the Bridged position.
2. Adjust the Left Level control to the X position if us-
ing a McIntosh Control Center.
3. Connect the cable from the signal source component
to the Left input.
4. Connect the loudspeaker cables to the appropriate
bridged terminals.
