Installing GroupShield for Microsoft

Exchange Server 2003/2007

What is included with the software?

GroupShield for Exchange has these components in the installer that you can install
separately.

McAfee GroupShield for Exchange 7.0

Buffer Overflow Protection

McAfee Anti-Spam for GroupShield

The

McAfee GroupShield for Exchange 7.0

option is selected by default. If you want to install

the additional software components, you must select them in the installer.

Installing GroupShield for Microsoft

Exchange Server

2003/2007

Using an administrative account, log on to the Microsoft

Exchange Server

2003/2007.

Create a temporary directory on the network or your local drive.

To install, do one of the following depending on how you obtained the software:

Insert the CD into the computers drive and copy the installation files to the
temporary directory you created.

Download the .ZIP archive and extract the files to the temporary directory.

Exchange Server 2003/2007 does not upgrade

McAfee

SpamKiller for Exchange installation. You should uninstall McAfee

SpamKiller

for Exchange manually before installing GroupShield for Exchange 7.0.
