What does the error code mean on my stack 
dr yer? 

This brief manual will answer the most commonly asked questions we receive for the Maytag 
product range. If this does not answer your question, please phone our National After Sales 
Department on 1300 RICHARD (742 427). 

 

Q: 

My Stack Dryer display is showing an error code when I turn the access panel 

 

key – what does it mean? 

After opening the access panel on the front of the machine, the control panel shows an 
error code. These are all listed below:  

 

 

d2 

Lower dryer thermistor circuit error on control board (cycles disabled on the lower 

 

 

machine until error code is manually cleared)   

 

d3 

Lower dryer temperature too high (cycles disabled on the lower machine until  

 

 

error code is manually cleared)   

 

d4 

Lower dryer motor control circuit error (lower dryer cycles and lower display  

 

 

disabled  until error code is manually cleared)   

 

d5 

Blocked coin 1 or coin drop control circuit failure (coin recognition and price  

 

 

display disabled while blockage persists) 

 

 

- If you know how, you can try to unblock the coin or phone for a service call. 

 

 

d9 

Voltage detected below 90vac for 8 seconds 

 

d12 

Lower dryer motor sense error on control board or due to power line interference 

 

 

(lower cycles and lower dryer display disabled until error code is manually cleared) 

 

d13 

Blocked coin 2 or coin drop control circuit failure (coin recognition and price  

 

 

display disabled while blockage persists)
