Raising Dish (if installer has collapsed system)
and Starting a Search
1. Open elevation handle as shown left (page 18)
2. We recommend always winding the
Antenna Handle 25 turns to 25
degrees as a starting position.
3. Before you search for the satellite be sure to
check the LNB’s current Skew angle (located
on the front of the LNB). Making sure
the correct position for your area has been set.
Turn to
page 22
to see which angle is required
for your current location and how this is
set up.
4. Next determine the approximate dish elevation
required from the zone map on
page 23.
Adjust the elevation handle and wind to
elevation shown on the zone map so it matches
what is displayed in the Elevation Read Out
Window.
(Compensate
the elevation angle accordingly if
your vehicle is not level)
5. Turn the Azimuth Lock Lever to the
RED
position to disengage the brake as shown above.
6. Next turn the direction unit using the hand
grips provided so that the arrow
(Read Out Window) points in a North
Westerly direction as indicated by
using the included compass.
7. Slowly scan from North West to East whilst
checking for a signal on the Television.
8. If no satellite is found adjust the elevation by 2
degrees and repeat the scan.
