When using the Solar Panel including any of the accessories, the following basic safety precautions should be
followed:
There is a risk of electric shock.
The charge controller can support a maximum input, as
per the specifications.
Always avoid charging old, damaged, overly discharged
defective battery.
This kit can be used with any 12V lead acid, AGM or GEL
deep cycle batteries. Other types of batteries may be
subject to bursting which can lead to personal injury and
property damage.
This unit must be used with rechargeable batteries
only, which can accept the charging current or charging
voltages as per the specifications.
Always adhere to battery manufacturer’s
recommendation when charging batteries.
The solar panel must be kept clean at all times. Dust and
dirt should be removed from the panels surface regularly
using a damp microfibre cloth.
Do not disassemble or open the solar panels and its
controller. There are no user-serviceable parts in this unit.
If the lead is extended, this can result in a loss of voltage
which can damage the battery.
Given sufficient light, solar panels always generate energy
even when they are disconnected. Accidental ‘shorting’
of the terminals or wiring can result in spark causing
personal injury or fire hazard.
