Programmable Features
Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System (CTCSS)
CTCSS is used to give you semi-private conversation by elimin-
ating unwanted reception of signals on the same channel, but not
programmed with the same CTCSS code. There are 38 standard
tones you can program on any channel. An SPK-400C Programming
Kit is required (sold separately) for programming CTCSS.
