Advanced
The Advanced page is used for loading new firmware
into XM device and to restore settings to factory
defaults.
To update the respective firmware, make sure the
firmware file is located on the device. Browse for the
appropriate file, then press the corresponding upgrade
button and wait for the firmware update to complete.
Note that no other software can use the serial port of
the device while upgrading the
SS
or
Front
controller.
This includes the serial console usage under Linux, and thus an upgrade must disable this prior to
starting the upgrade.

5.16.
Telematics
The Telematics page is used for control of All Integrated
functionality such as the GPRS modem, the GPS
received, the Bluetooth module and the WLAN chip.
You can control when to apply power to the specific
peripheral and thus enabling the specific functionality,
either as one time power on or off operation, or as
permanent startup setting.
Additionally, the GPS receiver and the GSM/GPRS
modem have additional status information and
command possibilities in their specific tabs.
