1. Ensure all units are active and operational. To ensure alarm is active, press the button for
2 seconds and ensure the alarm sounds.
2. To activate the wireless interconnect mode, press the button 3 times within 2 seconds.
An internal LED will emit blue light through the casing vents.
3. This Blue light confirms the detector has entered the ‘Send Wireless Code’ mode. This mode will
remain active for 30 seconds.
4. While in this mode, interconnection with a second unit can be set up, by pressing the button on
the second unit 3 times within 2 seconds. A Green LED (again viewable through the casing vents)
on this second unit, will light up for 3 seconds to indicate successful pairing.
5. The ‘Send Wireless Mode’ reactivates for another 30 seconds, and the process can be repeated for
all remaining units to be interconnected.
6. If ‘Send wireless code mode’ has timed out (Blue light is no longer shining), the mode can be
reactivated by going through the set up steps indicated in point 2 above.
ACTIVATING WIRELESS INTERCONNECT
1. Once setup, all units MUST be tested for successful interconnect function to ensure they are
successfully paired. Select any one unit and press the button for 2 seconds. The alarm will sound
on that unit.
2. After a few seconds, all other interconnected alarms will enter the ‘interconnect test’ mode, upon
which the interconnected units will sound for 10 seconds, followed by a flashing RED LED, visible
through the front face of the unit. Flashing frequency will be twice per second, (with audible signal
every second for only 10 seconds.) This will continue for 5 minutes after which all units will resume
normal operation.
3. All alarms should be tested weekly to ensure correct operation.
TESTING WIRELESS INTERCONNECT
1. This needs to be performed for each unit being disconnected from the paired network.
2. Remove the alarm from the bracket by twisting anti-clockwise.
3. Press and HOLD the button without releasing and ……….
4. While pressing the button, reattach the alarm to the bracket. Continue pressing the button until
the RED LED will lights up for 3 seconds and ……..
5. ONLY AFTER the RED LED has turned off, release the button.
6. The RED LED will light up again for 3 seconds. DURING this time press the button once, and the RED
LED will flash a few times, and then turn off.
7. The interconnect code is now cleared.
8. If for any reason the unit does respond as indicated, restart the process from point 1.
