CHARGER LED FUNCTIONS (Fig. 3)

Power ON

The green LED will stay ON when the
charger is plugged into a ”live” power
source.

Battery partially charged

The red LED will flash during charging.

Battery fully charged

When a Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery is
approximately 98% charged, the red LED
will turn OFF and the green LED will blink
for about 1 minute then stay continuously
ON, indicating the battery is fully charged.
The blinking green LED indicates the
charger is in trickle charge mode while
completing the charging cycle.
When a Li-ion battery is nearly fully
charged, the red LED will turn OFF and the
green LED will blink for a few minutes
while completing the charge.

NOTE:

You may use the battery as soon

as the green LED begins to flash, as the
battery will be at least 98% charged.

Defective battery

The red LED will stay ON when a defective
battery is detected and it should be
replaced.

Too hot or too cold

Both the red LED and the green LED will
stay ON when the work area or battery
temperature is either too high or too low.
Remove the battery from the charger and
let it sit at room temperature 21°C (70°F)
for about one hour, and resume charging.
