safety guidelines for cordless drill/driver
• hold power tools by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the tool
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Contact with a “live” wire may make exposed metal parts
of the power tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
• When working with the power tool, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure
stance.

Clamping devices or a vise will hold the workpiece in place more effectively

• Always wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before placing it down. The tool insert
can jam and lead to loss of control over the power tool.
• Before performing any kind of work on the machine (e.g., maintenance, tool change, etc.) or
when transporting and storing the tool, always set the direction-of-rotation switch to the centre
(locked) position.
