Work area safety
• Keep your work area clean and well-lit.
Cluttered benches and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in an explosive environment, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
Power tools create sparks that may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operation a power tool.
Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
Electrical safety
WARNING!
To reduce the risk of electrocution, keep all connections dry and off the ground. Do not
touch a plug with wet hands.
• The plug on the power cord must match the outlet.
• Do not alter the plug in any way.
Do not use an adaptor plug with a grounded power tool. Using
unaltered plugs and proper outlets reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid bodily contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and
refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if the operator’s body is grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock.
• Do not abuse the power cord.
Never use the cord to carry the tool or to pull the plug out of an
outlet. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Damaged or entangled
cords increase the risk of electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an outdoor extension cord that is suitable for
outdoor use.
Using the proper extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
