SAFETY GUIDELINES
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock, and injury to persons

Potential hazard that will result in serious injury or loss of life.
•
Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or
disabled people and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
•
Keep combustible material, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes, blankets and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from the front,
sides and rear of the heater.
•
As the heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside,
do not use the heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or
flammable liquids and gases or sources of heat are used
or stored. Failure to comply will result in serious injury or
loss of life.
•
Risk of electric shock: Make sure that the wide blade in the polarized plug of
the supply cord is matched to the wide slot and the plug is inserted fully. If
the plug does not fit contact a qualified electrician.

Risk of personal injury: Do not operate the heater in an area where
ventilation is obstructed.
•
Risk of fire: Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use or
place the heater on soft surfaces, like a bed, a pillow or a blanket, where
openings may become blocked, and objects such as pillows or blankets can
be ignited by the heater very quickly.
