KETTLE
IMPORTANT SAFETY CAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed. These include the following:
- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handle or button.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.
- Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check
that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside the
kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or coun-
ter or touch a hot surface. Do not immerse the cord, elec-
tric plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.
- Do not operate the appliance without anything in it to
avoid damaging the heat elements.
- Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface. Do
not use it near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated
oven.
- Avoid contact with steam from the spout after boiling the
water.
- Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully
without tipping the kettle too fast.
- Be careful of refilling when the kettle is hot.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.
- The attached base and the kettle can’t be used for other
than intended use.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving the appliance
containing hot water.
- The use of accessories, which are not recommended by
the appliance manufacturer, may result in fire, electric
shock or personal injury.
- Allow the kettle to cool before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
