Replacement of the fl uorescent tu-
bes
Replacement is easy and is done as fol-
lows:
(please use only original Dr. Kern Lamps)
Replacement of the starters
• It is very easy to replace the starters. The
starters should be renewed along with
every lamp replacement. The starter is
removed from its base through light down-
ward pressure and minimal rotation to the
left.

Repair
• Repairs in and on the unit should be done
only by an expert.

• Unscrew the 4 fastening bolts on the back
panel of the unit and remove the panel.
• Turn each lamp as far as necessary to
enable it to be removed towards the front
from the base slots.
• Replace with new lamps by pushing the
contact pins above and below into the
base slots at the same time and fi nally tur-
ning the lamps one quarter turn on their
axes.

• Wipe the lamps and the refl ector off regu-
larly with a dry, soft cloth.
• The red and blue fl uorescent lamps were
especially developed with the required
wavelength for BEAUTY SKIN. They are
available only from Dr. Kern. The fl uore-
scent lamps should be replaced after 250
operating hours.

Service life of the lamps
Dr. Kern Special Fluorescent Lamps have a
maximum service life of 250 hours. After this
time they still glow; however, the radiation is
weakened to such a degree that the tubes
should be replaced.
