6.5.3 Enabling the Position Correction
For absolute measuring systems, the machine zero is detected
directly after switching on the PROFILER ST. Therefore, the
position correction is active immediately after switching on the
PROFILER ST.
To enable the position correction for incremental measuring
systems, you must set/approach the machine zero of your mea-
suring setup every time the PROFILER ST is switched on.
If you do not set/approach the machine zero of an axis, the
position correction status display flashes red to the left of the
position display of the respective axis. In this case, the position
correction is not enabled for the respective axis.
You can select the function for setting the machine zero in the
Origin menu.
