Freezeguard

®

- Setting the Termperature

Control knob to Freezeguard will automatically
cause the unit to turn on before the room
temperature reaches freezing.

Power Indicator Light

- Cautions that

your unit is plugged into an electric outlet.
When light is “On,“ unit may heat up when
room temperature drops to thermostat setting
(depending on power switch setting).

Overheat Light

- When lit, Indicates unit

has overheated and has shut-off.

See instructions below.

Tip Over Switch

- Your heater is designed

to automatically shut off when tipped forward or
backward. When returned to normal upright
position heat will operate normally. This is a
safety feature to avoid the possibility of fire
should the unit be accidentally upset.

Safety Guard Latch

- This heater is

equipped with a special guard locking device.
During normal operation, the guard should be
closed and locked in position.

Safety Thermal Sensor

- This heater is

equipped with a continuous capillary sensor
that will shut the heater off when it gets
excessively hot from being covered by clothing,
etc.

See instructions below.

If this heater shuts off and the

  overheat light glows:

1. Unplug heater and allow to cool.

2. Make sure the front of the heater is not
blocked, covered, or close to any other objects.
Also, do not sit, or allow a large pet to sit, too
close to the heater - this could also cause the
heater to overheat.

3. Check to see if the heater guard or reflector
is dirty. This could cause the heater to
distribute heat poorly - ultimately causing it to
overheat.

(See cleaning instructions)

4. When the heater has cooled, sensor will
reset and allow heater to operate again.

5. If you still have difficulty, call our Service
Department between 9:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m.

SAFETY
FEATURES

Always set the Power Selector Knob to
“Off” and disconnect the plug from the wall
outlet before adding water to the tank or
fragrance to the tray.

Humidifier

 - Twist off the humidifier fill

cap and fill the tank to the FULL level.

Note: Do not pour fragrances in
humidifier tank. (see frangrance tray
instructions at right)

2. Do not fill the tank above the FULL
level. The excess water will come out from
the drain hole located on the side of the
unit. When the level of water reaches the
REFILL level, fill the humidifier tank up to
the FULL level again, making sure that the
heater is turned off, the plug is
disconnected and the unit is cool.

3. When there is any possibility that the
water in the humidifier tank will freeze,
drain the water from the tank by simply
tipping the heater to allow the water to run
out the drain hole.

Cleaning and Maintenance

- Make

sure to disconnect the plug from the wall
outlet before any servicing is started.
Always allow the heater to cool completely.
Do not pour water on or submerge any
portion of heater in water or any liquid.

Interior

- This heater is equipped with a

swing-open guard with safety lock for safe,
easy cleaning of the reflector.

To open guard:

locate the two slots at

the bottom center front of the heater. Insert
the plug end of the electrical cord into the
slots. This will release the guard. Swing
the guard up to clean. Wipe reflector clean
using a soft cloth, dampened with mild
detergent such as a window cleaner. A
dirty reflector may cause overheating and
shut off the heater.

To close the guard:

 align the guard

latch with the hole in the center of the
heater. Push the guard latch firmly into the
hole until it locks securely.

Exterior

- Never use any harsh or

abrasive cleaners on the heater. Clean

detergent.

Storage

drain water. Carefully coil cord around rear
storage brackets and place heater in
original carton.
