Maxedia 4

Media Groups

The Media Groups window lists categories of media across the top and the directories containing the
media of the category type selected.

Media Selection

The media files contained in the directory that has been selected in the lower portion of the 

Media

Groups

 window will be displayed in the lower portion of the Media Selection window. At the top are

buttons that let you select which aspect of the plugin that is running in the current layer will be
effected by the media you select in this window.  Not all options will be available for all plugins and all
media types.  In the case shown above, the files are video clips and can be used as the Player Media
which would be the video that was actually playing as the output of that layer, or as Shader Media
which will react to the Shader Effects placed on the layer.  If no Shader Media is specified the clip
chosen for Player Media will also be used as the Shader Media.  At the top right is the Show Icons
toggle button that let you toggle between displaying the media icons (Red) or media file names (Blue).
