Addresses for the S88-Module:
The S88-module automatically get an address when it is
plugged in.
You will find below the addresses for settings in the CS2:
Contacts (track): 1-16
Button controller addresses: 101-164
Bus 1: 1001-1496 (ex. 1005 = 1st module, Contact 5)
Bus 2: 2001-2496
Bus 3: 3001-3496
Setting up a Contact at the CS3
In order to set up a contact on the CS3, select in the main
menu:
„Edit“ --> „Add Item“ --> „S88 Contacts“
Now select on the screen in the upper left „Link S88 (L88)“.
Now at the lower edge of the screen, define the contact
using the bus, module, and contact number. Then confirm
with the OK checkmark.
With the transfer selection „Transfer to“, you can shift this
contact, which has already been set up, to another L88 later
when doing editing work.
Configuration for the L88
After the L88 has been connected, it registers automatically
in the controller. Then the L88 must be configured in the
controller.
• To do this with the
CS2
, go to Setup/Info. Here switch to
the configuration mode. Under „Info“, you can select the
device that you want to edit. Select here the L88 that has
just been plugged in.
• To do this with the
CS3
, go into the settings using the
„System“ button. You will now find a button for the Link
S88 (L88) in the left column.
The following settings can / must be done:
• Evaluation of 1-16 (direct bus for the L88),
Setting for individual units = 16 indicator contacts
(Standard)
Setting for matrix = up to 64 button controllers
• Length of Bus 1-3
Here you must enter how many S88 units are connected
to each individual bus (max. 31). Values of 0-31.
• Cycle period for Bus 1-3
(As a rule, entries must not be changed!)
Enter query cycles for the S88 busses in milliseconds (ms)
(min 10 ms - max. 1000 msm, factory setting 100 ms).
• Bit time for the S88
(As a rule, an entry must not be changed!)
Set the cycle for the answer (factory setting 167 µs)
• Cycle period for (L88) Contacts 1-16
(As a rule, an entry must not be changed!)
Query cycles for the Link contacts when used as track
contacts 1-16.
