Questions and Answers
How does solar heating work?
The solar panel absorbs the thermal energy of the solar rays and passes on the
water flowing through the panel. The cold water from the pool is fed into the solar
panel via a filter system pump. By passing through a number of small rectangular
tubes that form the panel, the water heats up and the warmer returns to the
pool. So you use free solar energy to heat the pool. Fixed polypropylene is neither
stainless nor water-based.
When does solar heating work well?
Properly installed solar system will increase the pool water temperature by up
to 6 °C during the season compared to non-heated pools. If it is under cloudy or
rainy, solar heating will work worse. But one or two sunny days is enough and the
water temperature quickly returns. The water temperature in the pool should not
exceed 30 °C. Hot water does not shine too much and, in addition, creates optimum
conditions for algae growth. Also, some pool components may have thermal
limitations. For example, the film may soften in foil pools. Therefore, do not use
solar heating when the water in the pool reaches 30 °C.
Where should I place the panel?
Place the panel where there is enough direct sunshine (at least 6 hours a day).
The longer the sun relies on the panel, the better the heating result. If you choose
a sloping installation (on the roof, on the wall, on the fence, on the frame, etc.),
orient the panel to the south to the southwest. The optimum gradient of the panel
for the May-September use period is between 30-45 degrees. For safety reasons,
do not install the panel within 1.5 meters of the pool. This could make it easier for
children or animals to enter the pool. Also consider possible surrounding traffic
such as lawn mowers, etc., and select the location of the panel so that it can not
