OWNER'S MANUAL

 

MAREX BATTERY INDICATOR  

WITH AUTOMATIC DEEP DISCHARGE PROTECTION  

 

 

 

 

•

  First group (HOUSE) is service group. Second group (ENGINE) is engine start 

battery (in case it is twin engine installation 

– starboard engine battery). 

•

  System is activated by default. Red diode will blink every 30s to indicate that. 

Protection can be deactivated by pressing and holding “off” button for 3 
seconds. When system is deactivated, red diode no longer blinks.  

•

  Battery protection will turn off service batteries if service (HOUSE) battery group 

voltage fall below 11,5V or get above 15,0V for longer than 200 seconds. 

•

  Engine start batteries are not monitored and will not be shutoff, so engine would 

not be damage by sudden power loss. 

•

  We recommend that battery protection left on always. We want to remind that 

batteries drained to 20% of their capacity (11.85V) and left uncharged for longer 
periods will permanently damage batteries.
