This convenient device connects external SATA storage devices to
desktop and notebook computers using a USB port so that backing up
files or storing large file archives on external drives is faster and easier
to accomplish.
Installation of the adapter is quick and simple, so you’ll soon be enjoying

NOTE:
Do not store or operate this device in conditions of excessive heat
or humidity. If the initial installation attempt fails, go to My Computer
→
Control Panel
→
System Properties
→
Device Manager and remove any
items tagged with a question mark (?) or exclamation point (!).
1. Plug in the power supply and connect it to the SATA device with the
4-pin/15-pin cable.
2. Connect the
Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to SATA 150 Adapter to the SATA
device using the SATA data cable, then plug the adapter into the
computer’s USB port.
3. Windows will detect a new device and automatically install the driver
(no added software is needed).
• To verify the connection, go to My Computer
→
Control Panel
→
System Properties
→
Device Manager. Open “Hard disk controllers”
to display the newly added hard disk drive.
• If connecting to a brand new hard disk drive, use “Fdisk” to set its
capacity.
NOTE:
This will destroy any data on the HDD. Back up any
data on the drive first if it needs to be saved.
