Log Positioning and Cutting
1.
Horizontal - Position the log firmly against the support plate
2.
Vertical - position the log centrally beneath the wedge head
3.
Using the control levers drive the splitting wedge through the log until it stops.
4.
Retract the wedge using control levers and safely clear split pieces.
Removing Jammed Logs
A log may get stuck on the Wedge Base if the Wedge becomes embedded in the log and the log
doesn’t completely split and separate. This can happen if the log is too stringy or tough to split
completely.

Modifying the Log Splitter
1.
Fully retract the splitting head
2.
Engage the safety stop button
3.
Remove the stuck log from the Wedge manually. IMPORTANT: Be extremely careful as log
pieces may fly off as they separate from the Wedge
Prior to Towing
1.
Raise rear stabiliser legs to safe moving position (4th hole down) before any manual moving
of log splitter from site to vehicle
2.
Ensure the Log Lifter is raised, stowed and secure
3.
Check that the fuel cap is secure
4.
Use Jockey wheel to assist raising towbar onto vehicle, secure the trailer to the towing
vehicle and ensure the safety chain is connected correctly
5.
Fully raise the stabiliser legs and ensure they are stowed and secure. Ensure the locking
screws are secured firmly
6.
Ensure jockey wheel or towbar support leg stowed away in correct travelling position
