3.4 EQUIPMENT MATCHING
To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the REDDI-
LYNX, it is necessary to use a tractor with appropriate
specifications.
As a guideline, be certain that these requirements are
met:
1. Horsepower:
The REDDI-LYNX needs both power and mass to pull
and stabilize the unit in all operating conditions.
The lower levels of power are appropriate for hard,
level terrain. Higher levels for soft or hilly land. Extra
mass is also required to maintain stability when
slowing down or travelling downhill.
2. Three-point Hitch Catagory:
See page (16) Figures (9-21) for the correct three-
point hitch neccesary for your REDDI-LYNX
3. Lift Capacity:
The tractor three-point hitch system must be capable
of lifting the maximum weight of the REDDI-LYNX with
the drum full of water (ballasted). Be sure to check
your tractor specifications for the three-point hitch lift
capacity. Extra weight may be required to achieve
capacity.
