Assembly instructions
The first step to perform in installing the MACSI on your vehicle
is to assemble the parts in the Malossi kit by following the
assembly instructions.
Assembly 1
(all vehicles without a suction-type fuel cock).
Remove the intake manifold and drill a 7 mm diameter hole
in an easy to reach area. Thread the hole with a male M 8x1.
Screw the small fitting (contained in the kit) completely into
the threaded hole, if necessary using thread sealer to prevent
air from leaking into the manifold during operation. Now,
carefully clean the entire manifold and reassemble it on your
vehicle. Replace the seals if necessary. Next, attach the MACSI
in the position you believe best, away from sources of heat
and moving parts that could damage it during movement
of the expansion chamber. Now connect the MACSI to the
small fitting that you installed on the manifold, using the pipe
contained in the kit. It is advisable to keep the pipe as short as
possible.
Assembly 2
In this case, your vehicle has a suction-type fuel cock that is
connected to the intake manifold by a small pipe (or there is a
small fitting already installed on the manifold).
To assemble the MACSI, simply cut the original pipe, insert the
Y fitting, and connect the MACSI to the free outlet remaining
free on the Y. Tighten the pipes with the clamps supplied and
attach the MACSI to your vehicle, away from sources of heat
and moving parts that could damage it during movement of
the expansion chamber. It is advisable to keep the pipe as short
as possible. For best performance of the MACSI, the fitting hole
on the intake manifold should have a diameter of at least 3 mm.
WARNING:
do not connect the MACSI to the fuel pipe under
any circumstances.
NB:
On some motors, installation of the MACSI creates a new
mixture balance which may require increase of the maximum
fuel jet by a few points (at times by even 5 to 10 points).
Maintenance
Every 500 km or 6 months, check the state of the small pipe
and the expansion chamber to prevent cracks (caused by
solvents, acidic atmospheric agents, or rubbing against
mechanical parts) from creating infiltrations of air that might
alter the fuel mix or damage the motor. The MACSI requires no
maintenance or adjustments.
We are happy to offer you this new and exclusive result of
modern technology. Thank you for choosing MALOSSI.
