IMPORTANT
Ensure to disconnect power before starting the installation. Check if the voltage indicated
on the rating label corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appli-
ance. Disconnect the luminaire from the mains before carrying out a megger test.

OPERATION
Maintained
During maintained operation the lamp is on both during normal
operation and if the AC supply fails. Battery is charged automatically.
Non-Maintained
During non-maintained operation, the lamp is only lit during
AC failure. Remove the jumper cable to change from maintained
operation to non-maintained. See label inside fixture.
MONITORING
Indicator LED lamp is normally continuously on. Indicator goes
out if supply or charger fails.

BATTERY
NiMH rechargeable battery pack.
The battery is recyclable.
Replace the battery when the battery no longer meets its rated duration of operation.
Please follow the enforced recycling regulations.
TEST SWITCH
A self-resetting test switch. If one presses the test switch, the LED indicator light will go
out and the equipment is in emergency mode; If one releases the test switch, the LED
indicator light will be illuminated and the equipment is in charging mode.
UNIT FAILS TO GIVE RATED DURATION
Recharge for 24 hours and re-test. Change battery if rated duration is not achieved.
RECOMMENDED TEST PROCEDURE
The following test is designed to ensure the continued protection of your premises and
occupants. Because of the possibility of a failure of the normal lighting supply occurring
shortly after a period of testing, all test should wherever possible, be undertaken at times
of least risk e.g. during daylight hours.
Monthly:
Isolate the mains supply using the emergency lighting circuit test switch for a period not
exceeding a quarter (25%) of the rated duration of the fitting and check that the fitting is
illuminated.
