OPERATION
1. Lift out the tank, remove the cover and fill the tank with fresh cold water. Never fill
above the max. level marked. Alternatively, remove the cover and fill the tank whilst
in position of the coffee maker.
2. Refit the tank, make sure that it is correctly located and press with slight force if
necessary to ensure that the valve at the bottom of the tank connects well with the
water inlet of the machine.
3. Swing out the filter basket, then put adequate quantity of coffee powder into the
permanent filter (if applicable) or paper filter inside the filter holder.
Note:
Make sure that the filter holder has been assembled correctly to the filter bas-
ket before this operation.
4. Return the filter basket to the original position, make sure it is fixed properly.
5. Place the jug on the jug stand. Make sure the lid of the jug is in ‘LOCK’ position.
6. Operate the appliance as below “Control Panel Operation”. In order for the ap-
pliance to control the temperature of the heating element, there might sometimes
occur several unabiding stops during brewing. This is normal and part of the brewing
process.
7. The appliance will brew until the water tank is emptied, then shut off automatically,
meanwhile the appliance return to standby mode, all indicator lamps goes out.
8. The vacuum jug will keep the brewed coffee warm at:
a) Above 75ºC in half an hour.
b) Above 70ºC in an hour.
CONTROL PANEL OPERATION
1. When the appliance is connected to the power supply, the appliance enters into
standby mode. The LCD will display clock such as “12:00”, this is the default “24-
Hour Clock system”.
2. Press the “MIN” and “HOUR” buttons together, “AM” or “PM” will display on the
left of “12:00” and this means that the time has been changed to “12-Hour Clock
system”, if you press once more it will return to “24-Hour Clock System”. Start with
setting the clock system as you desire, then you can set the clock and timer accord-
ing to instructions below “Clock and Timer setup“.
Note:
This does not mean that the time before and after changed clock system will
always match each other, maybe you have to reset the clock to comply with LST
(Local Standard Time) after having changed the clock system.
3. Clock and Timer setup:
1) Clock setup:
A. Hour setup: under standby mode, or after the “Clock System” setup has
been set, press the “Program” button once, “12:00” flickers and
enter into clock setup. Press the “HOUR” button, LCD will display in turn
“13:00”, “14:00” … ”0:00”, “1:00” … ”11:00”, “12:00” ---
LCD will increase with 1 hour after pressing the “HOUR” button each time.
If you keep pressing the“HOUR” button, then after about 2 seconds, the
time will increase about 4-5 hours quickly per second.
If you have changed the time to “12-Hour Clock system” as described in
point 1, the LCD will display “AM” or “PM” to the left of “12:00”.
