A kayak has basic features. The front of the kayak is the bow and the rear is
the stern. When sitting in the kayak, facing the bow, the left side of the kayak
is port and the right side of the kayak is starboard. The hull ID number (KPO
sticker) can be found on the starboard side of the kayak at the stern.
On each end of the kayak has a carry handle for transportation or tie it to a dock
line. All of our Express packages are equipped with a front bungee storage. In
the middle of the boat, there is a cockpit area with foot wells (toward the bow)
and a seating area (towards the stern). Inside the cockpit, there are holes that
go all of the way through the kayak called scuppers. These scuppers allow the
kayak to drain. Behind the seat area there is a rectangular hatch that allows
access to the inside of the kayak for gear storage. Like many of our models,
the Express is equipped with a backwell bungee storage for any gear you wish
to bring on board and hold securely with our sturdy bungee cord. Threaded
eyelets are installed along the rails of the kayak to attach numerous accessories
e.g. seat, tackle box, dry bag, etc. Your kayak also has a designed drain system
to drain out any water that’s inside of the kayak hull after your kayaking trip.
