BRAKE CALLIPERS
Anomalous resistance or a spongy feel when operating the brake lever denote impaired operation of
the brake system.
NOTE
The minimum thickness of the pads (front and rear brakes) is 2 mm.
REMOVING THE FRONT CALLIPER
NOTE
After having removed the calliper from its seat, place a recipient under it to collect the brake fluid.
Dispose of used brake fluid in compliance with statutory legislation.
Do not operate the brake lever after removing the callipers. This action may cause the plungers to
come out of their pistons resulting in spillage of brake fluid. Note that brake fluid is highly corrosive
and can cause serious personal injury.
CHANGING THE FRONT CALLIPER
• After removing the front brake calliper, undo screw/
union (V) and remove union (A) and relative gaskets
(B).
• Unscrew pins (V2) from their seats (C) and remove
pads (D).
NOTE
The brake pads can be removed and changed
without having to disassemble the brake cal-
lipers from the scooter.
