may cause removal of warning/caution labels, above-
mentioned-electrical part damage and flood into the
gearbox casing resulting in damage to mechanical
parts, such as gears, bearings and the like.
Follow warnings, cautions and instructions stated in
labels and instruction manual of the power washer for
proper use. Failure to do this may cause a personal
injury and failure, damage or breakage to the
equipment.
• If the battery ports or the area around them should be
splashed with water or flooded during cleaning, wipe it
off with a rag immediately.
3. Check all nuts, bolts, knobs, screws, fasteners etc. for
tightness.
4. Inspect moving parts for damage, breakage, and
wear. Have repairs made on any damaged or missing
parts.
To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs,
any other maintenance or adjustment should be
performed by Makita Authorized Service Centers, always
using Makita replacement parts.

Neither the battery lamp nor the
warning lamp lights up even after
pressing the main switch.
Battery cartridge is not installed.
Install the battery carridge.
Lock key is not inserted.
Insert the lock key.
Malfunction of the main switch.
Ask your local Makita Service Center.
With either one battery of the two
battery lamps lighted up, the
warning lamp light up after pressing
the main switch.
Battery is low.
Lock key is pulled out. Charge the
battery.
Battery is not inserted properly.
Remove the battery, and insert it again
carefully.
Malfunction of battery lamp or warning
lamp.
Ask your local Makita Service Center.
The cultivator blade does not rotate
even pulling the switch lever.
The main switch is not pressed.
Press the main switch.
The lock-off button was not pressed.
Keep pressing the lock-off button when
you pull switch lever.
The lock key is not inserted.
Insert the lock key.
Malfunction of the switches.
Ask your local Makita Service Center.
The warning lamp and the battery
lamp light up during operation.
Battery is low.
Charge the battery.
The tool stops
suddenly. And the
warning lamp lights up
or is blinking.

Change the depth of cultivation

Turn off the tool by pressing the main
switch. Then remove the obstacle
