Malfunction
Possible causes/measures
The unit does not work
Has the adaptor lead been correctly plugged into the
mains and the DC input jack at the rear of the unit? Does
the socket that is being used have power? Has the ‘On/Off’
button at the rear of the unit been switched On?
No sound
Is the volume control set at minimum? Are the
headphones fitted into the jack? No sound can be
heard via the speakers if the headphones are plugged in.
Radio reception noisy (FM)
Extend the antenna or adjust the position of the radio.
FM Stereo - if weak switch to MONO as this requires less
signal strength.
Radio reception stutters/bubbling sounds
(DAB)
Signal is weak. Extend the antenna or adjust the location
of the radio. Positions higher up or nearer windows may
improve reception. Note sometimes retracting the aerial
slightly (less than full length) may improve reception.
DAB ‘No Signal DAB’
This normally means the signal is very weak, not that there
is so signal. Try moving the radio to a different location and
rescanning. Check that your local area has DAB coverage.
Phone Stand not fitting into unit
Make sure you have removed the rubber strip off the top
of the unit (
Ref.20
). The phone stand will then fit in easily
slightly tilted but the rubber protector facing you for the
phone to rest on.
Time and Date not setting automatically
For the time and date to set automatically you need to
turn on the system and switch to DAB radio and let this
scan. Then press the Power mode button and the system
will go into standby and the date and clock will have been
updated automatically.
