Installation Preparations

MyPower S6600 Series Routing Switch Installation Manual

Step 5:

Shake the dustproof cushion lightly to clean up the most dust on the dustproof cushion. Use

the vacuum cleaner to remove the dust on the dustproof cushion.

Step 6:

Embed the black dustproof cushion into the air filter.

Step 7:

Install the cleaned air filter on the switch again.

The fan module is the important part of the device, mainly providing the power

for the cooling ventilation of the device. When the device is running, the fan blade

and control circuit board in the fan module will absorb the dust in the around air.

When the absorbed dust reaches a certain degree, the dust will affect the stable

running of the fan module and also will become the pollution source of the other

service boards in the device, causing the hidden danger for the stable running of

the device.

To ensure that the device can run stably for a long time, the maintaining staff

should perform the dust maintenance for the fan module of the device regularly

(once a year is recommended). The related steps are as follows:

Before operation, prepare the standby fan module in advance and after

un-installing the fan module when the device is working, you need to install

the standby fan module in time, so as to ensure the normal running of the

device.

Step 1:

Remove the dust for the standby fan module: After the maintaining staff correctly wear the

anti-static wrists or gloves, use the clean cotton cloth, anti-static brush, vacuum cleaner

and other cleaning tools to remove the dust for the fan blade, control circuit board and other

parts of the standby fan module. The cleaned fan module should have no dust.

Step 2:

Change the fan module to be cleaned. For the steps, refer to

6.1.3 Change Fan Module

. The

whole fan module should be changed in time. Otherwise, the chassis temperature will be too

high, seriously threatening the security and stable running of the device.

Step 3:

The replaced and cleaned fan module will serve as the standby fan module.
