DRIVER PRETENSIONER
Driver Pretensioner is located on driver side B pillar. Pretensioner is used to remove any slack from the
seat belts in the event of a collision. These devices improve the performance of the seat belt system by
assuring that the belt is tight around the occupant in a collision
.

OPERATION
During Ignition ON, SRS ECU performs self test and checks the loop voltage of
the Driver Pretensioner and is within the range

The Driver Pretensioner loop short to ground

Short to ground of Driver Pretensioner positive wire
Short to ground of Driver Pretensioner negative wire
SRS ECU malfunction
LAMP
