Analyze Function ( Discharge Only Function )
This charger is equipped with a discharge-only, battery capacity
analysis function. Unlike the conditioning cycle, it will not charge the
battery pack after discharging is completed. This function allows you to
obtain the discharged capacity of a battery pack, which is retained on
the screen until the button is pressed.
To use the battery pack after analyzing it, it is necessary to recharge it.
To Begin Analyzing:
1.
Follow step 1 through 3 on Chapter Five “Charging a Battery
Pack.”
2. Allow the charger to fully charge the battery pack. It is important
that the battery pack is fully charged before analyzing it is on order
to assess the real capacity of the battery pack.
3. Once charging is complete,
press and hold
the discharge button
for
3-5 seconds
or until the displayed “DISCH”
stops blinking
.
4. The charger will apply a 3 minute surface charge prior to analyzing
the battery pack. After analyzing commences, an incrementing
discharging capacity will be displayed.
5. After analyzing is completed, the charger will sound several long
beeps and capacity accumulation will halt. Unlike a conditioning
cycle, the charger will not begin charging automatically. Instead, it
will lock the discharging capacity even after the battery pack has
been removed, in order to begin charging, the reset button needs to
be pressed.
If you wish to use the battery pack after analyzing it, it is necessary
to recharge it.
