Appendix D MagTek Custom EMV Tags (EMV Only)
In addition to the standard EMV tags documented in EMV 4.3, Book 3, Annex A and in Appendix H
EMV Settings (EMV Only) , MagTek provides additional custom tags with the device. These are used
with Command 0xA1 - Access EMV Tags , Command 0xA2 - Start EMV Transaction , Command
0xA4 - Acquirer Response ARPC (MAC-MSR) , and Command 0xAB - Request EMV Transaction
Data (MAC-MSR) . The custom tags are listed in Table 4-103 . The characters used in the “Format”
column are described in EMV 4.3, Book 4, Section 4.3 .
