Using the Quick-Release Plate
Before you attach your camera to the pistol grip ball
head, make sure the head is secured to the tripod with
the 3/8-inch socket. The maximum load capacity is
6.6 pounds (3 kg).

Flip the lock out, and remove
the quick-release plate. (Fig. A)

Attach your camera to the
quick-release plate using the
1/4-inch mounting stud and
D-ring.

Flip the lock out, and insert the
attached quick-release plate into the base.

Close the lock fully to secure the camera and
attached plate.
Panning with the Baseplate

Flip the baseplate pan locking
knob down. (Fig. B)

Pan your attached camera to
the preferred position.

Flip the baseplate locking
knob up to secure.
