FIRST USE
• Remove the device and accessories from the box. Remove any stickers,
protective film, or plastic from the device.
• Before you use the device for the first time, clean the device with a
damp cloth.
• Clean the dough hook, egg whisk, mixing beater and splash protector in
warm water and washing-up liquid.
• Thoroughly dry the device, dough hooks, egg which, mixing beater &
splash protector.
• Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials, a scouring sponge
or steel wool; these damage the device.
• Make sure that the speed selector

is set to the 0 position.
• Before connecting the device to the mains power, insert the dough hook
(A)
, egg whisk

or mixing beater
(C)
on the beater shaft.
• Connect the device to the mains power.
•
NOTE!
When using the device for the first time, a slight odour might
occur, this is normal. The odour will disappear after a few minutes. Ensure
adequate ventilation.
POWER ON/OFF
• When the device is connected to the mains power, make sure that the
speed selector

is set to the 0 position.
• Switch on the device by setting the speed selector
(2)
to position 1 to 8.
• The device can be set to 8 different speeds using the speed selector
(2)
.
Speed 1 is the lowest speed, speed 8 is the highest.
• The device is equipped with a pulse function. Turn and hold the speed
selector
(2)
in the P position. The pulse function allows you to set the
highest available speed ‘8’, as long as you hold the speed selector in the
P position.
• Switch the device off by setting the speed selector
(2)
to the 0 position.
• Then remove the power plug from the mains power.
USING THE DEVICE
• Before each use, make sure the device is clean and dry.
• When operating, place the device on a flat, stable surface, in a place
where it cannot fall over.
• Push the tilt button

, the head of the mixer will be automatically
released and locked into the tilt position.
• Select the desired attachment, depending on the type of mixing:
• Dough hook
(A)
for kneading dough for bread as well other
fermenting dough.
• Mixing beater
(C)
for mixing and beating eggs, butter, and batter, for
example: biscuits, bread, cake, pastry etc.
• Egg whisk
(B)
for beating and frothing egg white, milk, whipping
cream, liquid foods, etc.
• Insert the dough hook, egg whisk or mixing beater directly on the beater
shaft, by sliding the opening over the pin of the beater shaft. Push and
twist it clockwise, hooking it over the pin and shaft until it locks into
position. Push and twist it counterclockwise to release the dough hook,
egg whisk or mixing beater.
• Place the stainless-steel bowl

in position. First place the stainless-
steel bowl

on the bottom of the base, respecting the alignments,
then turn it counterclockwise by holding both handles, until it locks into
position. Turn the stainless-steel bowl

clockwise to unlock it.
• Place the bowl splash protector
(4)
onto the stainless-steel bowl

• To lower the head and place the dough hook, egg whisk or mixing beater
into the stainless-steel bowl, hold the mixer head with one hand and ease
the head downwards while pushing the tilt button

. A clicking sound
will be heard when the head reaches the correct position and is locked
in place.
• Add the ingredients into the bowl, according to your recipe.
• Make sure the bowl splash protector
(4)
is in place.
• Switch on the device by setting the speed selector
(2)
to position 1 to 8.
• The device is equipped with a pulse function. Turn and hold the speed
selector

into P position. The pulse function allows you to set the
highest available speed, and corresponds with speed 8, as long as you
hold the speed selector in the P position.
• Once operation has been completed, turn the speed selector

to the “0”
position (OFF) and remove the power plug from the mains power.
• Remove the splash protector. Push the tilt button

, the head of the mixer
will be automatically released and locked into the tilt position. Turn the
stainless-steel bowl

clockwise to unlock it.
• Clean the device and accessories after each use, as it comes into direct
contact with food.
WARNING! Before installing, releasing, or changing the dough
hook, egg whisks or mixing beater of the device, make sure that
the speed selector is in the 0 position, the rotating parts have
reached standstill, and the power plug has been removed from
the mains power!
WARNING! Do not use the device more than 5 minutes to
prevent overheating.
• The device has a thermal fuse protection. If the device gets stuck due to
a hard mixture or due to obstructions and the device starts to overheat,
it will
automatically blow the thermal fuse and the device will stop
working.
To prevent this from happening, immediately switch OFF
the unit by turning the speed selector
(2)
to the “0” position (OFF) and
disconnect the device from the mains power by removing the plug from
the power socket.
The device will automatically switch OFF after 20 minutes of
non-stop use, the LED ring around the speed selector will start
flashing indicating it will soon switch off. This is an automatic
safety feature.
WARNING!
Risk of entrapment and risk of injury due to the moving
parts (dough hook, egg whish, mixing beater) of the device. Do not
touch these parts when the device is in use and keep a minimum of
30 cm distance to avoid entrapment of long hair, loose clothing,
scarves, jewellery, spatulas, cutlery, and other utensils, etc. This can
block the rotation of the device and cause it to overheat and/or get
damaged beyond repair, voiding the warranty.
TIPS & WARNINGS
• Do not place tools such as knives, (metal) spoons, forks etc. in the
stainless-steel bowl

when the device is operational.
• Always start mixing at low speed and gradually increase to the speed
recommended in the recipe.
• Minimal capacity for dough making – 1 kg of dry flour (food) and 0.6 litre
of water (40 °C)
• Maximum capacity for dough making – 3 kg of dry flour (food) and 1.8 litre
of water (40 °C). (Suggested flour and water ratio of 5:3)
• Minimal capacity for whipping egg whites or cream – 5 eggs.
• Maximum capacity for whipping egg whites or cream – 30 eggs.
• For whipped cream, whip 250 ml fresh cream at high speed for ±
5 minutes.
• Never exceed the maximum capacity of the stainless-steel bowl

keeping in mind that the volume will rise in the bowl during operation,
depending on the ingredients / recipe.
• The maximum operation time must
not exceed 5 minutes
. Apply a
minimum rest period of 15 minutes between 2 consecutive cycles.
• When kneading yeast dough, make sure you use the dough hook
(A)
.
Initially set the speed selector
(2)
to minimum speed 1 for 30 seconds,
then speed 2 for 30 seconds and then, depending on the recipe, higher
speeds for about 4 minutes to achieve the best results.
•
Never use the dough hook when kneading at maximum speed!
• If necessary, you can scrape excess food particles from the hook/beater/
whisk using a plastic spatula.
• During certain processes, the dough hook, egg whisk and mixing beater
heat up because of friction. Bear this in mind when removing them.
• Do not use hot liquids or hot ingredients in the bowl while mixing. Cold or
lukewarm liquids and ingredients may be used for mixing.
