INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THROUGH CAREFULLY BEFORE USING YOUR KITCHEN SCALES
• Always place your kitchen scales on a flat and stable work surface.
• Clean your scales with damp cloth, making sure no water gets inside.
• Remove the batteries if the scales remain unused for any length of time.
• Never place anything on the scales when they are not in use.
• Never use abrasive cleaning substances.
• If you drop the scales or handle them roughly, you may damage the sensor.
• If your kitchen scales are not working, check that the batteries have been put in the right way
round and are not running low.
• These kitchen scales are for domestic use only.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
• Weight range: 2g to 10kg. Accurate to 1g.
• Units: g/ml/kg/lb/oz - Water: 1g = 1ml. This may alter depending on the liquid being used.
• TARE feature: auto zero reset
• If you do not use your scales for about 2 minutes, they automatically shut down
• Power supply: two 1.5V AAA batteries

USING YOUR SCALES FOR THE FIRST TIME
Setting up the scales
• Insert the two 1.5V AAA batteries in the battery compartment, making sure they are the right way round.
• Place your scales on a flat and stable work surface.
• Press the button: the screen will display the numbers «8888», then «0».
• The scales are then ready to use.
• Your kitchen scales will automatically shut off if you do not use them for about 2 minutes. You
can also turn them off manually, by holding the button for 2 seconds.
Automatically resetting to zero: TARE feature
• Place a container on the scales. The screen will display the container’s weight.
• Press the TARE button. The screen will display «0». You can now put the ingredients you want to
weigh in the container.
• If you remove an ingredient from the scales, the screen will display the new weight. If you then
press the TARE button, the screen will return to zero.
Changing the unit
After you have switched the scales on, press the UNIT button to change the unit. It will go from
grams/milliliter (g-ml) to kilograms (kg), then from ounce (oz) to pound (lb).
Error messages
1.
Unstable work surface:
if the message «unst» appears on the screen, move your scales to a flat
and stable work surface.
2. Overload
:
the message «EEEE» will appear on the screen.
3. Batteries running low
:
when you see the message «Lo», you need to change the batteries.
Your appliance contains many materials that can be reused or recycled.
Take it to a local waste collection point or, failing that, to an approved service centre, so that it can be disposed.
