Valet Mode ON/OFF
Activate Valet mode by pressing buttons
I + I I I
for 0.5 sec. at the same time. (Valet
mode can also be activated with the ignition key as well, see page 36.) Valet mode
wi ll put the syst em t o sleep and alm ost all functi ons wil l be di sabled. Remot e
lock/unlock, code unlock, remote option programming, and the query functi on will
still operate.

1. Val et Mode OFF
Pressing buttons
I + III
for 0.5 sec. at the same time again will turn Valet mode
OFF, which restores all functions t o the remote.
2. Val et Mode Displ ay
The only functi ons availabl e wi ll be:
1. Button I for 0.5 sec. (lock/unl ock)
2. Buttons I + III for 0.5 sec. (Valet OFF)
3. Button I V for 0.5 sec. (Query Function)
4. Button I I I double press. (EL Lamp ON)
5. Buttons II + III for 2 sec. (Remote Set-Up)
If any other funct ions are attempted, the remote will beep three times and

wil l scroll across the screen t o indicate that the system is in Valet mode.

Flashes 5 times

When the system is in Valet mode, the alarm i s not
active, even when t he doors are locked. Any starter or
ignition kill systems that have been installed wil l be
disabled as well.

If you l oan your vehicl e to someone who i s not famili ar
with this CompuStar system, you may want to use
Valet mode to avoid any problems they might have by
acci dentally activating various feat ures.

Panic Mode four seconds
If button I V is held for m ore than 4 sec., Panic mode will be initiated. The doors will
lock, the parki ng light s wi ll flash and t he si ren will p lay for 1 min. and 30 sec.

will scroll across the remote screen for 30 sec.
Siren Chirp ON/OFF
By pressing buttons
I + I I
for 0.5 sec, at the same tim e, the siren chirps from the vehi-
cle will be muted. To un-mute the siren chirps, press buttons
I + I I
for 0.5 sec. again.
Canceling Panic Mode

In operating self-emergency, rem ot e control will be turned off, in the case of
remote wakeup.

In operating self-emergency, a siren will operate for 1 min 30sec, in the case of car
s i l e n c e .

To cancel Panic mode, press but ton

for 0.5 sec.
Flashes for 30

You can use this feature to draw attention t o you and your vehicle if you are
attacked or otherwise threat ened.

Exception

The siren will still play in these situat ions:

If the alarm is triggered by opening the t runk or a door.
The siren will sti ll be silent if the alarm is trigger via the shock sensor.

If Panic mode i s acti vated.
