z
Make sure that the total weight of the semi-trailer or trailer
and the bearing load on the fifth wheel coupling does not
exceed the maximum permissible values.
z Make sure that only the intended tow couplings are used
for towing trailers with tow bars.

z With a coupled load, drive uphill with the fastened load at
the front if possible (push mode).
z When driving down hill drive with the tractor in front.
If, for operational reasons, it is necessary to drive on inclines
in directions other than those described above, always
observe the following instructions:
z
Avoid accelerating and braking suddenly.
z Lift the fifth wheel coupling only as far as it is necessary
to ensure sufficient ground clearance.
z In borderline cases, additional technical measures are
necessary: e.g., adding ballast to the front axle, using
a telescopic fifth wheel.
