Hydraulic system
A hydraulic pump, which is flange-mounted on the transmis-
sion housing, builds up pressure in the hydraulic system. Oil is
conveyed through valves, lines, and hoses to the hydraulic cyl-
inders.
The following components are powered by the MT's hydraulics
system:

fifth wheel
z steering axle

Check hydraulic oil level
The hydraulic oil tank is located on the vehicle's right side. To
check the oil level you need to lower the fifth wheel completely.

Check the oil level at the oil viewing window.
The oil level should lie between the “MIN” and “MAX” mark-
ings.

Refill hydraulic oil into the oil filler nozzle if necessary, see
“Change hydraulic oil” on page 72 .
Use hydraulic oil of the same specifications, see “Oils” on
page 91 .
