7.3.5.4 Outrigger not installed warning
If either of the four outriggers is not installed properly, the red colour
of the tri-colour lights flickers to notify the operator of that.
NOTES
Even though the four outriggers are installed, the red colour of the
tri-colour lights flickers if the inclination of the vehicle body is large.
In this state, crane control is not available.
7.3.6 OVERRIDE SWITCH
The override switch has the function of disabling the moment limiter function.
For 3 minutes after this switch is turned on, the moment limiter does not automatically stop the crane
operation, which is very dangerous. Any crane operation in such conditions will result in dropping of hoisted
load, breakage of crane boom, and/or machine tipping, and may cause a serious accident resulting in death
or serious injury.
Use this switch only when the moment limiter fails or a load test of the crane is conducted. Key for the switch
must be detached during normal operations.
In particular, never use this in the following ways.
• When lifting a load, do not hoist the hook while keeping this switch “ON.”
Even if a load of hoisted load exceeds the rated total load, the moment limiter cannot detect it, resulting in
dropping of hoisted load, boom breakage and machine tipping due to cutting of the winch wire rope.
• After the moment limiter detects the rated total load is exceeded during the crane operation and
automatically stops the operation, do not perform operations of hoisting, boom lowering, or boom
extending while keeping this switch "ON." Such operations cause boom breakage and machine tipping.
• Use the hook storage switch when storing the hook. If the hook hoisting operation is performed using this
switch, the operation does not stop automatically even in an over-wound state, which may cause the hook
to crash against the boom or the winch wire rope to be cut.
Use this cancelling switch only when the moment limiter fails or a
load test of the crane is conducted.
• ON (cancel): Inserting the key to the switch and turning it to “ON”
once will cancel the stop function of the moment
limiter.
• OFF (auto): The key can be removed or inserted at this position.
NOTES
When the function of the moment limiter is cancelled, the machine
shows the following states.
• Red colour of the tri-colour lights flickers.
• The LED of the switch box lights.
• The buzzer sounds continuously.
Once the switch is turned “ON,” even the switch is returned to the
“OFF” position, the stop function of the moment limiter shall be
kept cancelled unless 3 minutes elapse or the starter switch is
turned “OFF.”
Note that, however, these actions may differ according to the state
of the machine body.
