Safety Instructions
Hazardous voltages are present in this electrical equipment during
operation.
Improper handling of the equipment can result in death, severe
personal injury or substantial property damage.
The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children –
also when supervised) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities.
Description
The buffer module is used for supplying 24 V during a power failure. The lithium-iron phosphate batteries are charged
by a 24 V power supply. In the event of a power failure, the module takes over the supply. Due to extensive battery
management as well as protection and monitoring functions, the module can easily be connected to the 24 V supply.
No additional settings are required. In the delivery status, the module is dead-voltage. Only when 24 V is supplied via the
power supply unit during initial commissioning does the UPS module start regular operation.
Installation and Mounting
The buffer modules are built-in devices providing IP40 degree of protection. An additional protective housing is required.
The relevant EN/IEC regulations or equivalent local regulations must be considered during installation. The mains switch
has to be switched off and secured against reconnection prior to installation or maintenance of the equipment.
Only qualified personnel are allowed to work on this equipment.
The successful and safe operation of this equipment is dependent on proper handling,
installation and operation. Take care about the instructions in this manual.

Mounting on a standard profile rail DIN EN 60715-TH35-15/7,5 is
possible. Alternatively, the device can also be mounted in
flush-mounted box. Therefore, the mounting clamp on the back of
the device can be removed by loosening the two screws.
Connection only to 24 V DC supply voltage (SELV/ES1 source
according to IEC 62368-1).
The supplying power supply must limit the occurring transients
to 1500 V.
The device must not be disposed of in household waste, but must be
collected separately!
