12.1 Measurement
12.1.1 NTU-Check
The
NANOCOLOR
®
Advance provides a warning of interfering
turbidity when measuring a test in 16 mm or 24 mm test tubes.
The NTU check is activated by default. Parallel to the measure-
ment, the nephelometric turbidity is determined by measuring at
860 nm at a 90° angle. The NTU value is reported together with
the result. If the set warning limit is exceeded, a warning is issued
and the result is displayed in red. The measured turbidity value is
stored together with the result.
Clicking the NTU-Check entry opens a window for setting this
function. Use the slider to activate the NTU-Check. Define a
warning limit with the help of the numeric keypad. The default
warning limit of 10 NTU is recommended.
Activating the
Warning message for turbidity
option will display an
additional warning message in the results window if the turbidity
value exceeds the warning limit.
12.1.2 Reaction time
Clicking the
Reaction Time
entry opens a window for setting this
function. When activated, the reaction time stored for a test is
automatically counted down before the measurement. After the
reaction time has elapsed, the test is performed automatically.
After activating the slider, a
appears in the status bar.
If you set the
Reaction time for each measurement
slider, the re-
action time within each method is also counted down for each
additional inserted cell.
