Questa guida rapida all’installazione fornisce informazioni
ed istruzioni dettagliate per l’uso del prodotto. Leggerlo con
attenzione prima di effettuare l’installazione per poter
sfruttare a pieno le caratteristiche del dispositivo e riporlo in
luogo sicuro per future ed utili
consultazioni.
Installazione
Installazione sulla scrivania o su uno scaffale.
Per installare lo Switch sulla scrivania o su uno scaffale,
attaccare gli appositi piedini in gomma ai quattro angoli, alla
base del dispositivo. Attorno al dispositivo è necessario
lasciare uno spazio sufficiente per una corretta ventilazione.
Connessione dello switch Gigabit Ethernet
Alimentazione
Lo Switch può essere alimentato da una corrente AC a 100 -
240 VAC e 50 - 60 Hz. Lo Switch si adatta automaticamente
alle condizioni di alimentazione locali e può essere acceso
anche quando uno o più cavi dei segmenti di LAN non sono
connessi.
Porte Gigabit Ethernet
Queste porte supportano velocità di rete pari a 10 Mbps, 100
Mbps o 1000 Mbps e sono in grado di operare in modalità
half e full duplex. Esse supportano la funzione di individua-
zione automatica MDI/MDIX, garantendo funzionalità “plug
and play” reali. È sufficiente utilizzare un cavo di rete per
collegare un dispositivo allo switch che individua automati-
camente le impostazioni necessarie, regolandosi di
conseguenza.
Led Diagnosi
Gli indicatori LED permettono di monitorare, diagnosticare e
risolvere ogni potenziale problema di connessione sullo
switch o sui dispositivi collegati
Power Led:
Questa spia si illumina di rosso quando lo
switch è alimentato, se invece la spia risulta spenta,
verificare l'alimentazione.
Link/Act Led:
Questa spia indica lo stato di connessione
delle porte. La spia corrispondente ad ogni porta sarà verde
fissa quando connessa ad un dispositivo di rete e
lampeggerà durante la fase di invio/ricezione dei dati.
1000M Led:
Questa spia si illumina di verde quando il
dispositivo di rete è 1000Mbps, se invece la spia risulta
spenta il dispositivo di rete connesso è 10/100Mbps.
Installazione in armadio rack
Lo Switch può essere montato in un rack EIA da 19 pollici,
che a sua volta può essere posto in un armadio elettrico con
altri dispositivi. Fissare con le apposite viti le staffe di
montaggio al pannello frontale dello switch (una per lato).
Dopo avere montato le staffe allo Switch, fissarle al rack
utilizzando le viti fornite con il rack stesso.
Informazioni preliminari per la configurazione dello
switch Gigabit Ethernet
La procedura di configurazione dello switch prevede i
seguenti passi:
A.
Installare il dispositivo in un luogo adeguato e fresco.
Nelle specifiche tecniche sono riportati gli intervalli
operativi per la temperatura e l’umidità.
B.
Installare lo switch in un luogo privo di forti campi
elettromagnetici, vibrazioni, polvere o luce solare diretta.
C.
Lasciare almeno dieci centimetri di spazio libero a
sinistra e a destra dello switch per permettere una corretta
ventilazione.
D.
Il cavo di alimentazione deve essere connesso saldamen-
te al connettore AC.

This manual provides detailed information and instructions
for use of the product. Read it carefully prior to installation
in order to exploit the full capabilities of the device and store
it in a safe place for future and useful consultations.
Installation
Desktop or Shelf Installation .
When installing the Switch on a desktop or shelf, the rubber
feet included with the device must be first attached. Attach
these cushioning feet on the bottom at each corner of the
device. Allow enough ventilation space between the device
and the objects around it.
Connecting the Gigabit Ethernet Switch to Your Network
Power
The Switch can be used with AC power sources 100 - 240
VAC, 50 - 60 Hz. The Switch’s power supply will adjust to the
local power source automatically and may be turned on
without having any or all LAN segment cables connected
Gigabit Ethernet Ports
These ports support network speeds of 10Mbps, 100Mbps or
1000Mbps, and can operate in half- and full- duplex transfer
modes. These ports also support automatic MDI/MDIX
crossover detection, which gives the Switch true, “plug and
play” capabilities. Just connect any network cable between
the Switch and the device, and The Switch will automatically
detect the settings of the device and adjust itself accordingly.
Led Indicators
The LED indicators include power, Link/Act which are used
for monitoring and pre-troubleshooting of the switch, The
following section shows the LED indicators of the switch
along with explanation of each indicator
Power Led:
This indicator will light solid red when the
switch powers up(5/8p gigabit switch is green color), if the
LED is not light, please check the power supply and
connection
Link/Act Led:
The LED indicates LINK/Active status, The
corresponding LED indicator will light solid green when
connected to a network device, it flashes green color when
data is being transmitted or received on the working
connection.
1000M Led:
The corresponding port LED indicator will light
solid green when it's work on 1000Mbps speed, Not Light
indicates working on 10/100Mbps Speed.
Rack Installation
The Switch can be mounted in an EIA standard size, 19-inch
rack, which can be placed in a wiring closet with other
equipment. To install, attach the mounting brackets on the
switch’s front panel (one on each side) and secure them with
the screws provided. Then, use the screws provided with the
equipment rack to mount the Switch in the rack.
Notice Before Setup
The setup of the Switch can be performed using the
following steps:
A.
Install the in a fairly cool and dry place. See Technical
Specifications for the acceptable operation temperature and
humidity ranges
B.
Install the Switch in a site free from strong electromagne-
tic source, vibration, dust, and direct sunlight
C.
Leave at least 10cm of space at the left and right hand
side of the Switch for ventilation
D.
Visually inspect the power cable and ensure that it is
firmly inserted into a suitable power outlet.
