Measuring and Adjusting Reel Clearance to Cutterbar
The minimum clearance between the reel fingers and the cutterbar ensures that the reel fingers do not contact
the cutterbar during operation. The clearance is adjusted at the factory, but some adjustment may be necessary
before operation.
The finger to guard/cutterbar clearances with reels fully lowered are shown in Table

Measuring Reel Clearance
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of raised machine, always stop engine,
remove key, and engage safety props before going under header for any reason.
1.
Park the header on level ground.
2.
Set the fore-aft position to the middle position (5) on
the fore-aft position decal (A).
3.
Lower the reel fully.
4.
Shut
down
the
engine
and
remove
key
from
the ignition.
